Private lessons will focus around three cornerstones:

1) Harmony:
Functional, modal, hybrid, negative, from bitonality to pantonality and more specific systems thus like the Bartók's axis.

2) Analysis:
Harmonic and formal analysis of some of the highlight works from the 19th to 21st centuries:

3) Composition:
Working on the student's pieces, discussing points such as orchestration, harmony, form (development of the musical gesture), and/or notation.
Both notes and works to analyze will be provided by the professor.
Students will be able to organize lesson time around these three points freely.
